Control Panel
(Note: this applies to Web Hosting only. If you have a Dedicated Server with Control Panel, access it from your server directly)
What is a Control Panel?
A Control Panel gives you to ability to make changes to your account via the Web. You can add/modify/delete POP Mail Accounts, Aliases, Forwards, and Autoresponders, and also do file administration such as uploading/downloading/renaming files and changing file permissions. Various Control Panels can be accessed from the list on the left.
What is a Webmail System?
A Webmail System allows you to read/send/delete/forward emails in your email accounts, just like you would at many popular free-email services. This is best used when you cannot access a computer with a full email client software. For more information on email clients and webmail services, go to our Email Client webpage.
How do I access a Control Panel?
To access a Control Panel, select one from the list on the left and click it. It is that simple!
Important Note
Your email accounts and passwords are completely independent of your system account username and password. To rephrase, the username and password you use for accessing your account by FTP or Telnet/SSH is separate and unrelated to any email account usernames and passwords, and they are not interchangeable.
To set up the following:
POP Accounts
This type of mail account stores the mail directly on the server. Each account is allocated it's own storage space for storing mail. Simply enter the name of the POP Account, the Password, and optionally the Real name of the person. So if the POP Account is named "john", mail can be received at "john@yourdomain.com". Keep in mind that there is a quota on the size of each POP Account, and when the POP Account is full, new mail cannot be received until some old mail is deleted.

Aliases
An Alias is used to give an existing POP Account an additional name. For example, if your existing POP Account is "john", you can add an alias called "mary" attached to "john", so that mail sent to either "john@yourdomain.com" or "mary@yourdomain.com" will go to the POP Account "john".

Forwards
If you want to forward your mail from "john@yourdomain.com" to "mary@hotmail.com", you can set up a Forward. In this case, the Local Name is "john", and the Forward Email Address is "mary@hotmail.com".

Autoresponders
An autoresponder can send a predefined message to people that email a certain email address. It can be used to send out sales information, contact information, and anything else that can be put in an email message. The Autoresponder Name is the email address the autoresponder should respond to, such as "john". The Owner Email Address should be the person that owns/controls the Autoresponder, such as "mary@yourdomain.com" or "mary@hotmail.com". The Subject is the subject of the email that is sent to the person. The rest of the area is for the body of the message.
