Network Layout
The Zentek Network is connected to multiple backbone carriers for fully redundant high performance connectivity, with links to five primary backbone carriers and backup redunant links for added reliability. With multiple links to high quality Tier-1 backbone carriers, the chance for loss of network connectivity is virtually eliminated.
Overall we have over 2500Mb aggregate bandwidth connectivity, with the ability to expand our network capacity at any time should we need to.
Our primary backbone carriers are NWT,Asia Netcom, Hutchison Global Communications, Singtel, China Telecom, and KDDI. For intra-Hong Kong traffic we have direct links to the HKIX (Hong Kong Internet Exchange).
Network data is routed over whichever carrier has the fastest link to a particular destination via BGP. With our multiple network connections, ping times to the USA are around 160-180ms, Australia around 70-90ms, China around 30-40ms.
In addition, we also operate a secondary network (not disclosed) which uses completely different backbone carriers and networking equipment, and is housed in a physically separate facility. This is operated on a smaller scale for our clients that require absolute uptime.
