However, it is possible to restore files from our network-wide backup system. Every 24 hours from around 1am to 6am HKT, all data on our servers is sent to a backup server for processing. This data is then sorted and stored with high compression and high reliability algorithms on various storage mediums. Certain core data is also sent offsite via our network to other servers in geographically distant areas for additional security and protection in case of catastrophic disaster.

If you have accidentally deleted files in your account, it may be possible for us to restore your files from the last backup archive made. For example, if you accidentally deleted all your website files and you have no private backup on your own computer, it is possible for us to restore all the files that were in your account at the time of the last backup (approximately 1am to 6am).

File restoration can only be performed when the backup server is not processing any data and is relatively idle. Even when it is not 1am to 6am, the backup server is still sorting and compressing the backup archives. This means there are a very limited number of hours per day when we can do restorations, because the process runs for much of each day. If we get several requests for file restorations, or if those requests involve a large number of files, then we may not be able to complete all the requests within the time frame available, meaning a delay of up to 24 hours, or in a worse case scenario the backup server may be too busy to process all the file restorations. While efforts are made to restore files, it must be understood that not all requests can be completed, and there is no guarantee that the all files can be restored error-free.
